I love my car! It's cute, red and new. I love that is uses less gas and that it emits less pollution. I love the hatch-back because it makes grocery shopping so easy, and I love the power windows and locks. I especially love the keyless entry and sensor which unlocks the doors as soon as I touch the door handle, and the push button start... that's right, I have keyless ignition! I love the freedom I feel to go anywhere because I know my car will perform well and won't leave me stranded. You know those times when all seems right with the world, when you feel warm and fuzzy inside? I often feel that way while driving my car. I think the reason I am so in love with this hunk of metal (and lots of batteries) is because I have driven my share of "clunkers". I've been grateful for every one of my cars, but I have never felt completely safe or comfortable. I spent the good part of 22 years of driving, wondering if I would make it from point A to point B, holding my breath during strong winds on the Freeway, or manually rolling up automatic windows that had long since decided to retire. I am grateful for many things in my life, but today, I am grateful for my car!

I love the Alison Krause song! I'm glad you figured out the music. I'm chuckling at the difference between your music and Kaylee's :)
hey kim"b"! what a groovy blog (i just watched austin powers, international man of mystery for the first time:). the ancestors must have been with me cause when i opened your blog one of my all-time favorites songs was playing--world falls. in fact, i used some of the lyrics from that song as the opening to my dedication section of my masters thesis back in 1994. as you know, i really dig the indigos--i have all of their cds, some videos, and i've seen them 7 times, once traveling from vermillion to durango, co. overall, i really enjoyed your musical selection. i think you are getting old cause you're starting to listen to country music. i gave susan alison kraus's new cd for christmas. its recorded with robert plant--yep, rp from led zepplin. its got a great sound. i also dig $1,000,000, i have that cd, and dave mathews and jewel. i checked out kaylee and brit's blogs as well. kaylee has a great song selection as well...kiss, pearl jam, the dixie chicks. its funny how deeply and thoroughly music speaks to me. i'm headed to phoenix today for a psychology conference and a shopsmith workshop!! and even better than the shopsmith workshop (barely), i get to stop in snowmass village, co (close to aspen) to see my honey and spend a couple of days with her!!! life is good here, i'm really enjoying my time with the boys. the girls have been with their mom. now, i'm thinking of getting a prius hybrid. i think i can get a used one for less than the civic. what do you think?
well take care, my dear friend. its exciting to see this amazing life you've created for yourself!!
all of my love and warmth to you, mark
